Purpose of Cherokee County Fund Drive
The Cherokee Fund Drive was developed in an effort to provide one annual fundraiser to benefit multiple agencies and organizations that serve the citizens of Cherokee county. Each year the member agencies and organizations gather to generate donations to the Cherokee County Fund Drive. The fund drive begins annually on October 1 and typically ends December 31. However, donations are accepted year round. Then in January following the fund drive the proceeds are divided equally among the member agencies and organizations. The funds are then used by those agencies within Cherokee county to serve the citizens of Cherokee county.
Mission of the Cherokee County Fund Drive Members
The mission of the Cherokee County Fund Drive member agencies and organizations is to provide a variety of services to the residents of Cherokee county. These agencies continue to serve both children and adults throughout Cherokee county. The member agencies of the Cherokee County Fund Drive serve our county everyday and their programs help increase the quality of life for every citizen of Cherokee county.
Maybe it’s a child in need of a winter coat; maybe it’s a lonely senior citizen; maybe it’s a mother and her children in crisis. Or perhaps it’s a group of boys or girls who need programs that model skills and citizenship. It could even be a needed health service or money for a prescription. All of these things and more are provided by the agencies and organizations of the Cherokee County Fund Drive.
